Why the Kitemark is so important to you

The famous Kitemark® developed by the British Standards Institute (BSI) is one of the most respected product quality marks in the world. It demonstrates that a wide range of products - from lighting to fire extinguishers - conform to a set of standards which ensure that vital safety and performance requirements are met.

Exway is proud to have been the first collision repair group in the UK to be awarded the BSI Kitemark® for all of its car accident repair centres.

Look out for the distinctive Kitemark symbol which is displayed in each reception area. It’s your reassurance that the very latest repair techniques are being used – and that your vehicle will be repaired to the BSI’s highest standards for quality and safety.

The BSI Kitemark for vehicle body repair is based on the technical specification PAS 125 which lays down quality standards for the five key elements of the vehicle repair process:

  • competent personnel
  • repair methods
  • repair materials
  • equipment
  • repair process management.

Kitemark accreditation is only given to companies that meet the BSI’s highest standards in all of these areas.

The word Kitemark and the Kitemark logo are registered trade marks of the world-renowned BSI Group which originated in the UK as the world’s first national standards body. BSI’s testing and certification capabilities are among the most highly-rated in the world.

A combination of a quality-based system (such as BS EN ISO 9001) and advanced product and service testing provide the basis for a Kitemark scheme – offering trust, integrity and quality.

"To achieve the Kitemark standard across all of its branches is a real achievement and one that shows Exway is serious about safety. The Kitemark will surely benefit both the company and its customers."
Scott Hanney, BSI's Kitemark Services division.

"The BSI Kitemark is recognised as a standard the public can trust. Being able to display the Kitemark at every one of our sites is a tangible reminder for customers that they can be confident that our personnel, repair methods, materials, equipment and management processes are of the highest possible standard."
Trevor Barefoot, Founder and Managing Director of The Exway Group.
